Campground Rules

  • All visitors must sign a waiver of liability before participating in any activities on Broxton Bridge Plantation.  Minors also need the signature of their parent or guardian and should bring a signed release with them, if their parent or guardian will not be in attendance.

  • Fires are permitted only in designated areas.  Please do not attempt to burn trash in fire pits.

  • Please, “Don’t be a Litterbug.” All trash must be bagged and placed in the dumpsters beside the primitive camping area. Follow a “pack it in, pack it out” policy.  Do not discard cans, paper or cigarette butts on the trails or in camping areas.

  • Guests are responsible for the removal of all waste created by the animals and uneaten hay to the appropriate receptacle (muck bucket). This includes, but is not limited to that deposited in stalls, along picket lines, and in camping areas.  Please clean up thoroughly before departure.

  • Pets must be caged, kenneled or leashed at all times.

  • Please observe all posted signs.  Do not trespass on adjacent posted land.

  • Possession/use of illegal drugs is expressly prohibited and will result in arrest and prosecution.

  • Public intoxication, vulgar language and/or lewd behavior are not appropriate behavior at Broxton Bridge Campgrounds and will not be tolerated. Alcoholic beverages are only allowed at your campsite.  Please help us to maintain a wholesome family atmosphere.

  • ATVs, Dirt bikes, mini bikes, and high performance Side by Sides are not allowed on the property and trails. Golf Carts and Utility UTVs are the only offroad vehicles allowed. Whether a UTV is allowed or not is by our discretion and must be approved. Only those with a valid driver's license can operate golf carts on the property.

  • As required by South Carolina law, all horses and mules must have proof of a current, 12 month Negative Coggins test before unloading.  All horses will be checked for proper match at the check-in station.  NO EXCEPTIONS!

  • While Broxton Bridge Plantation makes every effort to insure that the trails and facilities are safe, we assume no risk nor liability for injuries resulting from the inherent risks of equine activities, “pursuant to Article 7, Chapter 9 or Title 47, Code of Laws of South Carolina, 1976.”

  •  Campers may arrive on a motorcycle, but are not permitted to ride the vehicle through park
